Braina, which stands for Brain Artificial, is a sophisticated personal assistant software tailored for Windows. It boasts an array of both text-to-speech and speech-to-text capabilities, enhancing user interaction significantly.

Key functionalities of Braina include:
<ul>
 <li>Play Songs: Users can simply request playback of specific songs without searching manually. For instance, saying “Play Hips Don’t Lie” will prompt Braina to locate and play the song from local storage or the web.</li>
 <li>Dictate to Any Software or Website: The speech-to-text feature allows users to dictate into third-party applications like Microsoft Word through a dictation mode.</li>
 <li>Play Videos: Users can initiate video playback by voice command. For example, saying “Play video Godfather” will cue the movie.</li>
 <li>Calculator: Spoken calculations can be performed on demand, such as saying “45 plus 20 minus 10.” Braina can assist with various mathematical operations.</li>
 <li>Dictionary and Thesaurus: Users can seek definitions by voicing requests like “Define encephalon” or “What is intelligence?”</li>
 <li>Open and Close Programs: Simple commands enable tasks such as “Open Notepad” or “Close Notepad.”</li>
 <li>Open and Search Files and Folders: The app accelerates file searches with commands like “Open file studynotes.txt” or “Search folder program.”</li>
 <li>Control PowerPoint Presentations: Users can navigate slides using voice commands in dictation mode.</li>
 <li>News and Weather Information: Request updates such as “Weather in London” or seek news related to specific topics.</li>
 <li>Search Information on the Internet: Queries can range from “Find information on Thalassemia disease” to searching for images of cute puppies.</li>
 <li>Set Alarms: Users can easily create alarms by saying “Set alarm at 7:30 am.”</li>
 <li>Remotely Shutdown Computer:</li>
 <li>Notes: Braina can store reminders, e.g., “Note I have given 550 dollars to John.”</li>

The connection setup process between the app and PC is straightforward:

 <li>Ensure both devices are connected to the same WiFi network. If a WiFi router is unavailable, a WiFi hotspot may suffice. Verify that Braina is operational on your PC.</li>
 <li>Obtain your PC’s IP address on the WiFi network by navigating to Tools > Settings > Speech Recognition within the Braina application. From there, select "Braina Smartphone App" under the "Alternate Speech to Text Option" dropdown.</li>
 <li>A list of IP addresses will be displayed. Input the first address into the iOS app and select connect. If unsuccessful, test additional IP addresses sequentially until a connection is established (typically beginning with 192.168).</li>
</ol>

Note: Firewalls in the network may hinder successful connections between the app and Braina on your computer.
